WeDamnz has received worldwide recognition after his powerful mashups went global and gained support from names like Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Mike Williams, Brooks, and Julian Jordan. What started as a passion for music, resulted in his first own music productions at the age of fourteen. The music producing skills of this Dutch DJ and producer continued to evolve at the Herman Brood Academy, the same music school the current #1 DJ in the world Martin Garrix started his career.
At age 16 WeDamnz won the ‘Dancetour DJ Clash’ and gained a spot at one of the leading music festivals in the Netherlands. After winning this prize, the vision for WeDamnz was clear. What once was just a dream, quickly started turning into reality.
His first official remixes for ‘Chemicals’ by Tiësto and Don Diablo and ‘Shades of Grey’ by Oliver Heldens landed in the Spinnin’ Records Talentpool in 2017. In 2018 he released his first official track called ‘Say What’, gaining the attention of some of the biggest Dutch music labels.
The mashups of WeDamnz have been supported by an endless list of established artists in the EDM scene. His ‘Jetlag vs. I Love It’ mashup was played by Mike Williams at Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami in 2018 and the Big City Beats festival at the World Club Dome in Germany. It appeared regularly at the biggest Dutch festivals like SLAM! Kingsday 2019 and at the Jimmy Woo Club during the Amsterdam Dance Event music conference in 2019. T
he ‘Habits vs. Nobody’ mashup was played at the Sunburn Festival 2017 by YTRAM (Martin Garrix’ tech-house alias) and ‘Jetlag vs. I Love It’ appeared at Afrojack’s ‘Jacked Radio 331’ music podcast.
Alan Walker played his mashup ‘Havana vs. Make Me Feel’ at the Mainstage of Ultra Miami and Lollapalooza in Brazil. Loud Luxury played ‘Let’s Go vs. Wake Me Up’ at Lollapalooza and various other mashups in their exclusive SLAM! radio sets. Julian Jordan played ‘Fast Car vs. Bonzai’ at Omnia Las Vegas, the World Club Dome, Springbreak Europe and SLAM! Kingsday.
Lost Frequencies supported his mashups on SoundCloud and Mesto supported WeDamnz by playing ‘Wait Another Day vs. I Want It That Way’ at festivals in China and Japan. Steff Da Campo played ‘Losing It vs. September’ at the ‘Vato Gonzalez presents: Dirty House’ concept and at festivals all over the world.
Brooks supported WeDamnz by playing ‘Jetlag vs. I Love It’ at the Ushuaia Beach Club in Ibiza, at ‘Martin Garrix Presents: Anima’, during 7th Sunday Festival in the Netherlands and at the WMW Session Vietnam Afterparty in 2018. Music of WeDamnz has been downloaded by Merk & Kremont, Vato Gonzalez, Sigala, David Puentez, Keanu Silva and the list goes on.
A strong fanbase of WeDamnz of more than 80.000 subscribers on YouTube, several million streams on mashups, more than 100.000 downloads and a powerful mixing style with an energetic stage appearance make WeDamnz a strong upcoming artist in the EDM scene.
